Eventful Night

On Friday night, we took the kids to the Colleyville Heritage baseball play-off game. Brad's best friend, Alan, is the coach (his wife, Britt is also a good friend of mine!) and we went to show our support to him and help cheer the team on to a victory. Unfortunately, they lost, but we had a great time at the game and then afterwards getting to catch up at dinner with Alan, Britt and Jaxon. From the title of this post, you can tell that we didn't only see a game of baseball that night. First of all, Landon has had a wiggly tooth for a while now (his first one!). Just in the past few days, it has been more than ready to come out. So - who better to do the honors of pulling it than Britt? She is an elementary school PE coach, and has pulled many teeth. Landon asked her if she would mind pulling his, and after a little gauze from the trainer and the chant 1....2....3, the tooth was out! Landon was so proud and I loved it that I remembered my camera and we got the footage of the big moment! I have to admit, it made me a little sad to see him with his first tooth missing! He is getting so old and this just made him look that much older!

One...Two...Three!

It's out! Thank you, Britt!Posing with our snaggle-tooth

Precious Jaxon - Is he not a beautiful baby? After the game, Reagan was jumping down from the bleachers and raised up and hit her head on the corner of one of the bleachers. She immediately screamed and I just knew we were about to see some blood. Sure enough, she cut her head. Heads bleed horribly (thank goodness I knew that before seeing this!) and hers did just that. The trainer took a quick look at it and said we needed to head to the ER or a CareNow. We loaded up, headed to the car and Brad decided to take a better look for himself. After finding the source of the bleeding, we realized it was simply a tiny little cut that didn't need a trip to the doctor after all! Yippee! A little neosporin and new braid to camouflage all the blood, and we were good to go! No one at Chili's even noticed. (Might have been an appetite killer if the table next to us realized my child's hair was covered in body fluid! Lovely!) Sorry I don't have pictures of this incident! I wasn't thinking about my blog at the time!

so what did the tooth fairy bring landon? :-) so fun that he lost his first tooth - wosh it would have been my hands to pull it out. and so glad reagan survived the bloody head. never knew heads bled a lot - good tip to remember!

Oh Shannon, you and Caryn have had quite a week! I am so sorry that happened to miss Reagan. At least no stiches were required. Landon does look so much older without that tooth. Bravo to the PE coach who pulled that thing out!
