She's here, and the best thing about it is that I got to be there! Lauren is my best friend and I have considered it an honor to be there to hold her babies, Caroline and Charley, the day they were born! I wasn't about to miss out on this one! Caryn and I got to drive down to Waco and surprise Lauren for the birth of #3 and we actually made it before Julia made her appearance! (Lauren has her babies very quickly, so this was a huge deal!) She was born at 11:56, was 8lbs 4oz and 21 1/2in long! Let me just tell you, she is absolutely beautiful! (How could she not be? She's a Steen!)

(I debated on posting this picture, because as you can see, I seem to have invaded Caryn's personal space! So sorry C....I guess I thought we needed to huddle in close to make sure we all fit! YIKES!) I did want to post this picture because it is NOT about me! It is about this precious mommy and her best friends that were there to meet her new baby girl!

Like I said before - such an honor to get to hold this precious baby just a few minutes after she was born! There is nothing like that moment! I love you so much Sweet Julia!

Shannon...that is the sweetest thing that you girls drove down here for Julia's birth! You are such amazing friends to one another. I love it!!!

More importantly! Thank you for posting these pictures and telling a few details. What a special time. Its a time that I wish I could share with every single friend. Being around when a baby is born is incredible. I'm so glad you were there. Great pix! And seriously, Lauren doesn't need to look that beautiful on birth day. not fair!

that WAS u at the hospital! i was in the gift shop and i thought i saw u but i was like no i dont think thats her. i guessed wrong! congrats- i was also there for my best friends delivery!
