This and That

I don't have a ton of pictures for this post, but wanted to include a few from my time in Waco recently and our time with Aunt Alli here in Allen!

My sweet daddy turned 70 on the 17th and is also recovering from a knee replacement! He is such a trooper and I was so thankful to be there to see him on his big day!
Payton was a big fan of Mimi's guacamole!
Grammy Nancy and Granddaddy David came over to help us celebrate. They are my parents' best friends and have always been a huge part of our lives!
We had already celebrated Doc's birthday before his surgery, but still wanted to have some sort of yummy dessert for after dinner on the actual day. So, Allison ordered a cookie cake! She knew we all LOVE the white icing, so just told the cookie man to put a dog on it. (My dad has a huge dog, Hattie, that is like his 5th child, so it only seemed fitting.) We laughed when we saw the cake. Was it for a 4-yr-old or a 70-year-old? It sure did taste yummy!
This little engineer enjoyed every bite of hers!
When Payton and I left Waco, we brought Aunt Alli back with us! We made a special trip to school to eat lunch with both big kids.

What a sweet post/birthday for your daddy. And SMART idea on the cake. I love me some white icing. And now I know what to ask for. lol
Jeff said I should just tell them to make the whole cake a baseball.. (that would be an idea =))
