Dancing Queen vs. Prayer

Reagan and I have been singing and dancing to the new Mama Mia soundtrack that Mimi brought us this past weekend. (If you haven't seen this movie yet.....I highly recommend it! Such fun!) We have most of our dance parties in the living room, but yesterday morning we took it in the car with us on our way to school. I made a commitment to God and to myself when Landon started preschool that I would pray with him each morning as we were driving there. Now that he is in Kindergarten and Reagan is in preschool, we still make it a priority to pray for our day, our friends, our teachers, etc. before we turn up the music. Well, yesterday Reagan and I were on our way to school and our favorite CD was right there with us. I pushed the mute button and reminded Reagan that we needed to say a prayer for preschool that day. I told her (like I do most mornings!)...."God wants to hear your voice this morning. Why don't you pray this morning instead of Mommy." She lets out a big sigh and responds with, "No, you pray. But make it quick! Dancing Queen is the next song!" Hummmm.......not sure she was really focused on our prayer that morning. Although - once "Amen" was said, we did have some great bonding time jamming to Dancing Queen!
