Walt Disney World 2010

Day 6: Epcot and Home Sweet Home

Once this day rolled around, we were all pretty tired and ready to get home to Payton! We decided to spend another half day at Epcot to make sure we saw what we had missed the previous time there.

three tired travelers
We ate at an awesome steak house in the Canada area. It came highly recommended to us, but everyone assured us we would never get in if we had not made a reservation at least a few months in advance. I think God knew we needed a little bright spot in our day because we walked up at lunch time and they were able to seat us right then. I guess there was a no-show and we were there at the perfect time! It was super yummy and I pass on the recommendation to others that plan to go to Epcot!

Mommy and her pickle eating girl
That's a pretzel bread stick folks!
Here is where the day turned crummy. We found out our flight had been canceled. Thank goodness I have a smart, take charge kind of husband, because he was able to work his magic and get us on an earlier flight back home. Or...so we thought. It ended up being delayed about 4 hours, so we didn't roll into DFW until around midnight. Being stuck at an airport for 6 hours with two kids and wanting to get home to the third sure doesn't make for a fun afternoon!

Super Bummed!
This girl kept a smile on her face most of the day!
I apologize to all my blogging buddies about the following two pictures. They are from the video camera (We didn't think to take pictures once we got off the plane in Dallas.) but I didn't want to forget the joy of seeing Payton when we got of the plane.

One extremely happy (and very blurry) Mommy!
Landon and Reagan picked out this Mickey Mouse to bring home to Payton. It is the softest, cuddliest thing in the world!
We came home to balloons and a banner to welcome us home!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Doc, Mimi, Aunt Ernie, Aunt Alli, and Uncle Kyle for taking care of our precious girl so we could go spend some time with our big kids. I never worried one single minute while we were gone (unless it was about the lack of sleep Mimi was getting with a teething 15-month- old!). Thank you to Mr. Britton and Mrs. Michelle for helping Erin out that last night and then picking us up "no matter what time" at the airport! We love you all so very much!
