So Long, First Grade!

After today, I officially have a second grader living in my house! That tells me two things. One, I am getting old, and two, this year has gone by way too fast! Landon had such a great 1st grade year and we have spent this week celebrating it coming to a close. We are more than ready for summer but are sure going to miss all of our friends at Kerr Elementary! (The kids will be starting a brand new school in the fall that was just built near our house!)

Landon receiving his end of the year awards from Mrs. Kern
I had to throw this picture in. This is L's desk and what you see are cut up erasers. Grrrrr....this past teacher is not a fan of this! :-)
Landon and his buddy Nathan
Sweet Anna Grace and Landon (They have been in the same class both years! We are hoping she is in our second grade class as well!)
Enjoying a hot dog lunch outside at his class party
Caden and Landon (We have known Caden's family since the boys were babies.)
SNO CONES!
We always head to the donut shop for breakfast on the last day of school! Landon can put away some donuts!
This little girl can hold her own with a glazed donut as well!
Reagan prefers the kolaches! (She was in sponge rollers for her dance recital.)
These next two pictures are HIDEOUS of yours truly, but sort of crack me up. Landon's faces seem to say...."Mom, you're a little stinky. Next time could you take a shower and put on some make-up before taking me out in public and please make Reagan take out her rollers as well! I am so embarrassed!"
"That's a little too close, Mom."
Thumbs up for the last day of school!
WHOOHOO!
This picture makes me a little sad. Landon walked out the door after school and I could tell he was going to lose it. He walked over to me and started crying. He is going to miss Kerr and all of his buddies there so much! I love his sweet, teary face in this picture.

Sayonara First Grade! Hello Second!

Landon,
We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished this year. You amaze us! We love you so much!

Such a sweet post. I remember leaving Robinson and coming to Midway in the 3rd grade. Such a hard transition for a kid but I know he will be just fine and make lots of new friends.
And I am loving Reagan's rollers and cant wait to see her post!

He looks so old! His face is weathered, unlike a toddler boy. And that space btw the teeth - man he is growing up. And the stinky comment photos - hilarious! As well as the sponge rollers. This whole post makes me laugh.
