Christmas 2010: Part 3

We left the day after Christmas to head to Waco and spend some time with my side of the family. All 16 (plus 2 babies in tummies!) were present and we had a ball. It's always super crazy with that many people, and we leave exhausted, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Santa happened to make a stop in Waco as well!
Stocking time!
Payton cleaning Mimi's floors with her new vacuum
Reid got some power tools!
Uncle Kyle got a panda blanket. Or was that Payton's? I can't remember!
We usually don't give such big gifts, but all the kids chipped in and gave Doc an Ipad. It was a combo gift...Christmas, 70th Birthday and Retirement (and something to keep the man busy as he recovers from his knee replacement!)
These two guys are big buds! You should have seen the tears Landon shed as we were having to leave Cooper. I hope they will always be as close as they are now.
Reid thinks Reagan hung the moon!
The babies of the bunch (for a few more months)
The second night we were there, Mimi hired these two beautiful girls to babysit while she took all the "big kids" out to a nice dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday.
Here's the kicker! I used to babysit Danielle and Chandler! Talk about feeling OLD! I was even up at the hospital when Chandler was BORN! YIKES! Now they are taking care of my babies! I just love it!
The Entire Boyd Bunch
All the Ladies
All the Men
The Boyd Sisters
(Ashley is just one of us! She really has been like a real sister to us since they day Blake brought her home!)
My Precious Parents
Blake and Ashley
Kyle and Allison
JD and Erin
Brad and Shannon
It really was such a treat to be without kids and enjoying time with grown-ups! We have decided that we will make it more of a tradition to go out like this each year when we are all together. I am just afraid it might take a few more sitters once it's all said and done! Our family seems to be rapidly growing!
Thank you, Doc and Mimi, for such a great time in Waco.

And this is the reason I want and love having a big family. What a treasure you Boyd sibs are to each other. And all those cuzzies! So fun! What a great Christmas with everyone. Missing you. Really wished for better quality time together. Hope everything else is good. We need to get on the hook and calendar for a cracker toffee plan this summer! I'll be counting the days.

btw...your kiddos are so big and SO CUTE. Love seeing all their expressions. Oh and tell Brad I like the scruff...looks great and so wintry mountain manish ;)

GrEaT idea about a dinner out with just the grown-ups...totally planning that next year! I love seeing pics of all your family. It makes me laugh to see grey in brad and blake's facial hair because I still think we're all about 22! You look so pretty miss Shannon! What a wonderful Christmas.
