I have a new nephew! Brewer entered the world on Thursday, March 3rd and I was there in California to welcome him! I cannot even begin to tell you what it meant to me to get to be waiting there at the hospital to meet him and hold him just minutes after he was born. To say I was super proud and ridiculously excited would be an understatement!
I flew in the night before he was born and spent time hanging out with my family.
Alli, Mimi and Doc flew in a few hours before I did.

My gorgeous sister, Erin....ready to have her sweet boy!

My Twin Sisters! Alli is due in June with a boy and a girl! This was Erin about 14 hours before checking into the hospital to have Brewer!

I decided a long time ago that it would be fun to have shirts made for the big day! (I know....corny!) We called ourselves The Brew Crew. Here we are about to head to the hospital to go meet our precious Brewer! Erin and JD didn't know we had the shirts made! :-) (I look a little rough in most of these pictures! I wasn't feeling too great and seem to appear somewhat drugged.)
This was the view from her Labor and Delivery room. Beautiful!
Waiting on the show to get started

This might be one of my favorite pictures from the trip. Makes me a little teary!

Erin and JD ready to meet their second baby boy
This is Corinne, one of Erin's very best friends in California. Corinne is a Labor and Delivery nurse and was in the operating room when Reid was born. She put on scrubs and was in the OR when Brewer was born as well! We all love Corinne and her twin sister, Andrea! We are trying to convince them to move to Texas once Erin is here!
Off to the operating room!

JD is such a great dad! He is always so gentle with Erin and loves his family so much! We are lucky to have him in the Boyd family!

I'm smiling in this picture but so sad on the inside. I was leaving a few minutes later and was not looking forward to it! The only reason I was able to walk out of that room was knowing Erin and her family will be moving to Waco in four weeks! Yippee!
Brewer is now home from the hospital and getting plenty of loving from his big brother, Reid. Is this not the sweetest picture you've ever seen?

Big Brother Reid and Little Brother Brewer

Dear Brewer,
You do not know how much I already love you! Getting to be there for your birth ranks up there with one of the biggest honors of my life. You have been born into an amazing family! Your mommy and daddy are incredible! I am so thankful to be your aunt and promise to spoil you rotten. Your Uncle Brad and cousins, Landon, Reagan and Payton cannot wait to meet you so very soon! You have so many people who love you and would do anything in this world for you! Don't change too much between now and April 1st. I cannot wait to hold and kiss you again! I love you so much!
Love,
Aunt Shannon
**I do have to add that I would not have been able to go on this trip if it weren't for my wonderful husband and Mema (Mrs. Michelle!). Mema called a while back and made me promise I would fly to California for the birth and that she was taking off work to take care of Payton during the day. I ask myself every day how the Brown family was so blessed to have Mr. Britton and Mema in our lives! Brad took over in the evenings and got the kids to school each morning. He never once complained or talked about the stress or craziness it caused! It made my trip so enjoyable not having to worry about the kids back home. Thank you so much, Brad, Mema and Mr. Britton! I love you!

As I sit here with tears running down my face. I love single thing about this post. I love my sweetie more than anything. But I am head over heals for my niece. Being an aunt is one of the BEST things that has ever happened to me. And I thank the Lord and my sister everyday for giving me Kinley.
I am so happy that you were able to be there for Brewers BIG day. I know as well as anyone being so far away from them stinks! So I am happy to hear that the will be back home where they belong in a few weeks. Then you will be burning up the road between Dallas and Waco.
