So Long Kindergarten and 2nd Grade

Our 2010-2011 school year has come to an end. It was very bittersweet this year for the Brown family. My kids did not want the year to end because that meant they had to leave their teachers. I have to admit, their mommy had the very same hesitation. I could not have dreamed of two more perfect people to teach my children this year. I will forever be grateful for how they loved Landon and Reagan and helped them grow in so many different ways!

It has become a tradition to head to the donut shop on the morning of the last day of school!

Reagan's Last Day of School as a Kindergartner
Goodness Gracious...I'm committed to praying for this little girl's teachers already!

This is about what did me in. At the end of the day, after 6th grade graduation (yes..our school goes K-6th), music came over the speakers and the entire school lined the halls to say good-bye to the 6th graders. I am not one that usually get emotional at stuff like this, but for some reason, my mind kept fast forwarding a few years up the road and I just couldn't get ahold of myself. It was so sweet seeing those big kids high-fiving the kindergartners!

and my very sad babies on the last day!

Here's to a fantastic year! Thank you, God! Summer...Here we come!
