December 10, 2011. A day that will forever be celebrated in BU homes around the world. A day that not a single Baylor fan should ever forget. A day that a very deserving man received an honor that only few have ever received. A day that a man showed his humbleness to millions who watched and shared that his faith in God had brought him to this point. A day that a man told us all, on National TV, that God has a plan. A man that voiced these awesome words...
"The hotter the heat, the harder the steel. No pressure, no diamonds. We compete, we win. We are Baylor. Baylor we are, Baylor we'll always be, but it's up to us to define what that means, and this Heisman Trophy is only the beginning of that process.
To Baylor nation, I say this is a forever kind of moment, and may we be blessed to have many more like it in the future. God has a plan, and it's our job to fulfill it, and in this moment we have."
Don't know if there will come a time when I don't get chills reading that. So, So great to be a Baylor Bear and to call my hometown Waco, Texas!
The night of the Heisman presentation, we had some dear friends, the Davis and Cole families, over to watch!
We started the night off with some pizza!
Claire and Payton are about a week a part! Claire's daddy, Eric, and I have been friends since the 2nd grade! Can't believe we now have 5 kids between us!
I LOVE this picture that I just happened to capture. I took it of the TV screen right as they transitioned from a shot of Coach Briles and RGIII's parents, to him giving his acceptance speech. I'm not a photographer at all, but I think this picture is pretty cool!
