We spent Easter in Waco this year. Things were a little different because my sweet daddy just recently had knee replacement surgery. We normally like to be at home and go to our church on Easter, but this was the perfect weekend to spend with my family and for the kids and Brad to get to check on my dad. We had a blast! An egg hunt, celebrating Landon's birthday and then getting to visit my sisters' church was just what we needed!

Praise the Lord that we are not having family pictures taken any time soon. A certain someone is NEVER smiling or even looking semi normal in any picture we take. Oh, to be in the mind of a three-year-old.

The Dethrows weren't up for a family picture at the park.

I did manage to grab a quick picture of one of my very favorite people.
Granddaddy David! (Don't mind the 7 chins I am sporting in this picture! Yikes!) He and Grammy Nancy are pretty much family. They came to watch the kids hunt eggs and have dinner with us that night. Such a treat!
Now, I give you the best family picture ever taken. I have laughed harder at these next two pictures than I have laughed in a really long time. Each time I look at this first one, I see something else that is funny. Let's start with the fact that the sun/tree shadows made for a fantastic setting! Move on to Reid and Payton on the far left...wow. Then Mimi's hand behind Payton looks like she's about to smack her (which she would never do). My sweet daddy has a stocking on and a cane between his legs. Riley just pulled a pink egg out of Doc's ear. Reagan is blinded in the sun and Landon has on a flat bill Rangers hat. Need I keep going? Please just laugh along with me!
Again...Reid and Payton are in their usual state. Doc..bless his heart with the sock and cane. Reagan and Riley...now blind. Sam is about to see his last picture. So long, buddy.

Landon's birthday was the week after Easter, so we celebrated with my family while we were there.

The night before Easter, Reagan came down with strep. She didn't want to miss getting to take a picture with her cousins, so Mimi brought her up to church for a quick picture. Mimi and Doc were already planning to stay home because of Doc's knee, so it worked out perfectly.
