Pine Cove Family Camp 2012

We spent another incredible week at Pine Cove back in July.  There are not adequate words to describe what this week means to us as a family.  I said it last year in my post, but it is such intentional time away from our hectic daily lives.  Phones left in the cabin, no TVs, no Wifi...Sounds heavenly, doesn't it!?  This year was extra special because some of our best friends came with us!  The kids loved spending all day/every day with the Boring children and Brad and I loved our time with Rich and Blake.  Having friends like the Borings there, made camp that much sweeter!

Each night LP and Hudson went searching for frogs.  The first night (He learned his lesson after that!), Landon brought a few in to show Mom.  Like...held them over my head while I was in bed.  I'm OK with frogs...but I won't share my bed with them!
OLYMPIC NIGHT!
GO, USA!
When Payton ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!
Big Rich helped the kids compete in one of the Olympic Events of the night!
She finally gave up and took a short cat nap while she could.
Tuesday, July 10th, was our 13th wedding anniversary!
We went on a trail ride breakfast and the sweet counselors remembered that it was our anniversary!  They put 13 candles in our cobbler!  It was so thoughtful and meant so much to us.
(This was also the day Brad's back pretty much went out on him.  He has horrible back issues, and camp about did him in.  Poor guy, spent most of the week in an incredible amount of pain!)
Landon and Avery
Can you tell what color sucker they had just enjoyed?
One night they had a sleepover in each other's cabin!
me, Blake and Jenise
(The Livesays are our other dear friends that go to camp the same week we do!  Brad and Stephen were fraternity brothers and I love Jenise!  She's one of those I feel like I have known forever.)
PICKLE BALL!
Have I mentioned it rained, actually POURED, most of the time we were at camp?
You would think it put a major damper on our week.  Nope!

TIME FOR THE BREATHTAKER!
Aunt Blake even did it!
Payton loved her counselor, Bee Yourself!  She painted her a rock in the craft room and delivered it to her on the last day.  So, so sweet!
Super Hero Night
The Super Borings!  HA!
Brad and Reed
Brad didn't let a hurt back get in the way of dancing with the kids.
showing the parents the verses they had memorized during the week
Each counselor also wrote and read some awesome things they had seen in each of our children that week.
Reagan and her counselor, Stalks
Doin' a little bee boxing
Landon and his counselor, Whistles
These two girls thought Whistles was something else!
Where there was Whistles, there was Avery and Reagan!
The Browns and the Borings
Late Night Swimming
Our family counselor, Bee Yourself
This group right here is the reason Pine Cove is what it is.  I can only pray that my three kids will grow up to be like the college kids in these two pictures.   The impact they have made on Landon, Reagan and Payton will be something that they take with them forever.  Thank you, PINE COVE STAFF!
