Double Digits!

Landon is 10.  It is still sinking in that I have a child that is in the double digits!  I am amazed at how quickly the years are flying.  I am going to blink and he's going to be heading off to college.  I think Landon getting older would be harder on me if he weren't becoming such an incredible young man.  He has the greatest sense of humor and the most tender heart.  I know another amazing man with these qualities and I see Landon following in his exact footsteps.  I read Brad's and Landon's texts to each other (shhhhh....don't tell!) that they send while he's at work or late at night when they both are in bed and I see them quoting scripture, Landon asking Brad to explain certain scriptures, encouraging each other to seek God daily, talking about baseball, being goofy boys and discussing "boy" things, etc.  It really makes my heart burst.  They have such a special relationship.  How did I get so lucky?  Brad and I are so thankful that God picked us to parent him and do not take that role lightly!  We only have 8 years left to make marks before he's no longer under our roof.  Thankfully, Landon makes our job pretty easy.  We love you, Bubba, and cannot wait to see what these next years bring!
April 15th!
Favorite breakfast on the You Are Special Today plate!
A HUGE balloon full of money from Uncle Greg, Aunt KB, Brandt and Carson.
This kid won't eat cake.  Cookie cakes or ice cream is about it!
Boys birthday parties are so easy.  Swimming, hotdogs, ice cream.  Done!

 Happy Birthday, LP!
